Celebrating Excellence in Math
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) announced the results of the 2024 Canada Jay Mathematical Competition (CJMC), and we are proud to recognize our talented students for their participation and success!
About the Canada Jay Mathematical Competition
The Canada Jay Mathematical Competition (CJMC) is open to students in grades K-8 and features questions based on the grade 5-8 curriculum. This annual event offers students an engaging math challenge designed to complement their math curriculum and boost their problem-solving abilities. The competition consists of 15 questions divided into three blocks, with each block increasing in difficulty. Students have 90 minutes to work through these exciting and thought-provoking problems. This year, the CJMC attracted nearly 3,500 participants from across Canada and around the world, including 640 students from ten countries outside of Canada!
