On June 6, the HongDe Elementary family welcomed the Encore Choir from Valley Christian School, Mission, BC. They filled our halls with music, joy, and passion, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. This collaborative event showcased the power of music to connect people, nurture creativity, and foster friendships between schools.

A Spectacular Performance  

Valley Christian School choir dazzled us with their incredible voices, performing a selection of their favorite songs, including Kye Kye Koolay and Shalom Pacem Peace by Ruth Elaine Schram. One highlight of the day was their performance of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri—a timeless ballad made famous by the Twilight series—which deeply touched our students. In response to the amazing performance, our HongDe students took the stage to express their gratitude. They sang ‘We Want to Say Thank You’ in Mandarin, offering a heartfelt tribute to Valley Christian School for sharing their talents and bringing so much joy to our school.
