About Us
HongDe Elementary School is a not-for-profit K-5 Independent Bilingual school, and the school offers a Chinese (mandarin) program, English program and Fine Arts program. The purpose of the school is to provide programs to learn about traditional Chinese and western culture values in addition to promoting virtues, or character strengths, considered important for society.
Provide a Chinese bilingual education in a safe and supportive learning environment that recognizes the individual needs of each student;
Encourage students to reach their full academic, social, physical and spiritual potential;
Assist students in acquiring Mandarin and learning inherent aspects of Chinese culture;
Provide the opportunity and incentive for students to become bilingual and bicultural;
Enable students to learn and think about the world around them from two perspectives;
Receive gifts, bequests, funds and property, and to hold, invest, administer and distribute funds and property for the purposes of the society; and
Do all such other things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the foregoing purposes and the exercise of the powers of the society.
